2. High Quality, Certified Products

Trust is essential in assessing the integrity of a product i.e. knowing what’s in and what’s not in a product, especially when a claim is made such as 100% organic. Therefore, wherever possible, we look for independently certified products, so you can trust the product from source to finished article.

The Soil Association is a registered charity created in 1946 to campaign for healthy and sustainable food, farming and land use. Overseeing sectors such as farming, food and drink, textiles, personal care and more, the Soil Association offers organic certification on a huge range of consumer and business products, now certifying over 70% of organic food in the UK.
In the USA, the FDA acknowledges that they do not regulate the term ‘organic’ within the cosmetic industry. To strengthen regulations surrounding packaging claims and ‘greenwashing’, COSMOS is a standardised certification that can be applied globally that also ensures increased transparency for consumers.

Halal-logo

A Halal certified product is a product certified to be in compliance with a series of manufacturing standards specified according to the Islamic Law or ‘Shariah’. These standards regulate all the related aspects of the products, including its ingredients, feeds and slaughtering if animal-based material, manufacturing process, hygiene and safety requirements, packaging, labelling, and transportation, etc. Meticulous care must be taken during the certification process to exclude any ingredient that is not compliant to Islamic Law or has been contaminated by any incompliant material.

For the purpose of halal certification, JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) ascertains the halal status of the product at every stage and at every process involved by carrying out an official site inspection of the producer’s premises to examine on how the halal status of the raw material is maintained and monitored at all times.

For non-Malaysian companies, JAKIM requires a reputable and credible foreign halal certification body to perform the certification. In this instance the Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association whose certificate is here: http://thida.org/index.php/international/jakim and may be cross referenced here: http://www.halal.gov.my/v4/index.php?data=bW9kdWxlcy9jZXJ0aWZ5X2JvZHk7Ozs7&utama=CB_LIST

3. Simplicity – one brand per product

Many of us are finding the product selection process increasingly frustrating as the large online marketplaces subject us to a huge selection of brands and retailers. There can be very large variations in product quality, and information about retailers and their supply chain is sometimes non-existent. Viva Tree removes this headache for you having already assessed multiple brands of similar product type, compared and assessed their claims, and studied their ingredients or composition. From this we have selected only one brand per product type which ticks all the boxes and we believe you will love as much as we do.

4. Honest reviews

We take feedback seriously and welcome it. You will not find paid-for or fictitious customer reviews on our site – ever.

5. Satisfaction

We are heavily customer focused taking a personal interest in the satisfaction of our customers and brand partners. As a friend and customer of Viva Tree, you are much more than just an order number.

6. Ethical

Apart from having great products, we search for brands and people who also have great values and give back to communities or help the disadvantaged. Read more about the stories and programs of our partners by visiting Our Partners.
